OPENING ENCAPSULATED DISKS INSTRUCTIONS
TO DOWNLOAD & DECAPSULATE A DISK: For MS-DOS,Windows 3.1 & Windows 95
- We recommend you use the right mouse button to click on the link to download the Encapsulated disk.
- By using the right mouse button, your computer will ask you where you want to save the file. We recommend temporarily saving it to your desktop so it is easy to locate.
- Once the file is downloaded it will have the lesson number on it and then the extension.exe
(THIS IS NOT A SELF EXTRACTING-ZIPPED FILE, DO NOT TRY AND UNZIP IT)
- Just Double Click on the file "LessonNumber".exe
- You will then be prompted to insert a DD disk into your 3.5" drive. As this is a true Tajima or Barudan file, you must use only a DD (double density) disk.
- The program will warn you, that all information on the disk inserted in floppy drive will be erased. Use a disk that is not write protected.
- Type 'Y' if ready, the disk in your floppy disk drive will be formatted and then files written to the disk.
After successful formatting and storing of its content, the disk is now an exact copy of the original disk. Use it as you would any normal embroidery disk with tajima files on it.
